In the early days our ancestors, the first patriarchs had very long lives, until close to a millennium. The word mentions this fact in the genealogy of Seven in Genesis five (5) by the age of these patriarchs. These few patriarchs became fathers of many families. But a fact is certain, it was only these few patriarchs who invoked the name of the Lord: “...then he began to call upon the name of the Lord. ” (Genesis 4: 26b).

We can understand this clearly by the word of the Lord God. For it is very clear when it describes how quickly the way wickedness took over Adam in the known world of that time. And one of the factors contributing to the expansion of the growth of this wickedness was the high age of these men Adam. From this fact came the deterioration of the human race of that time. Still to worsen began the sons of God fallen angels who did not call upon the name Lord to choose and take wives for themselves from the daughters of men for whom they desired: “In those days there were giants in the earth; and also afterward, when the sons of God came into the daughters of men, and brought forth sons of them: these were the mighty men that were in the old, the men of fame. ” (Genesis 6: 4).

And the LORD said, My Spirit shall not contend with man for ever: for he also is flesh: but his days shall be an hundred in twenty years. ” (Genesis 6:3). With this attitude of the Lord there was a brake on the multiplication of man, for the imagination of the thoughts of man's heart Adam was continually evil. All desire for food manipulated flesh, and especially desire for the flesh of sex. All the teachings that man was receiving from Cain's offspring, the first homicidal man who processed food.

All this bad eating by the disordered multiplication of the fleshly desire of a man Adam full of vigor for the vitality of processed foods, and especially the flesh, brought room for this multiplication by the vigor of a human body that at the age of one hundred was at the beginning of life, and which easily reached nine hundred years.

Thus the Lord reduces the life of man Adam by limiting his age to one hundred and twenty years, a fact that is scientifically proven. Studies of science claim that the human body has the strength to live a hundred and twenty years. But the Lord God did not want in his Spirit to contend eternally with man Adam who also “is meat”.

With the man detached from the garden of the Lord Eden, therefore without access to the tree of life, and with a new rule determining that his life should be limited to one hundred and twenty years, he should understand that, who loves corrects, and who corrects guides, and who guides loves. So it is with every father who loves his children, the Lord God loves all his creation. But man's fleshly desires Adam exceeded the limit of any common sense, which generated in the Lord God the divine determination to put an end to man Adam. The Lord God truly repented of having done it: "And the LORD repented that he had made man upon the earth, and weighed him in his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy from the face of the earth the man whom I have created, from man to beast,..." (Genesis 6:6,7a).
