The first teaching on the way to feeding the body of the soul is the dependence on Jesus. The Lord Jesus never put his Father's project above his need to feed, for as reported, “she was hungry,” and wished to supply it at that moment, "And when he saw from afar a fig tree that had leaves, he went to see if he could find anything in it; and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves." Jesus could have told this fig tree, bear fruit, but the Lord did not take this attitude and knew how to face its hunger. “And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, then he was hungry.” (Matthew 4: 2).
Jesus as a man prepared himself for his Father's design, and when faced he replied to the tempter: “ It says: Man will not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of God's mouth. ” (Matthew 4: 4).

This teaches us that the Lord Jesus depended and sought the food of the Father, and of the "word that comes out of the mouth of God." His word was his spiritual food, and the edible food only when he really was hungry “forty days and forty nights, then he was hungry”.

It is very important to keep these words to our day, because it may be helpful for you, in the proposals of new food strategies, that will be demonstrated by the nourishment of the body and soul in this new form of food walk, by dependence on the divine principles of Jesus. Another important fact that Jesus was being taught to his disciples is that they should understand Jesus’ dependence on the Father and his word. The disciples lived this way of life daily while they were with Jesus, and at that moment on the way they were all left without eating.
